Julie O'Leary
Support for the early hours, days and weeks with your
newborn baby.
Welcome
The days and weeks after a baby's birth can be both miraculous and overwhelming for a new mom. Navigating your way through the unpredictable territory of healing after childbirth, newborn care, breastfeeding, lack of sleep and intense emotions can create confusion and frustration instead of the calm and peaceful image of new motherhood you might have imagined.
As your Postpartum Doula, I serve as your gentle guide as you find your unique path through the early days and weeks of motherhood. As a Postpartum Doula, I provide support, education and comfort for mom, baby and family in this sometimes rocky terrain called the postpartum season.
I specialize in early morning “Sunrise” postpartum care. I have found that parents welcome early morning support to start the day feeling rested, refreshed and ready. Nights with a newborn can be long. Knowing that help is arriving early to:
-
hold your baby while you go back to bed for some much-needed sleep
-
prepare breakfast, tidy up the kitchen, start laundry, prep snacks and dinner while you rest
-
care for baby while you shower, dry your hair, get “dressed” (this can be clean jammies!)
-
allow for Dad to get in a run or take care of morning errands
-
be available to listen, guide, and encourage
Bringing home twins or more? As a twin mom and your Postpartum Doula, I can offer practical support through the early days at home with multiples.
